The term was coined by Trakaplex under the name of Anonymous in a comment to a question "What is after a centillion?". The creator also calls it short scale the ascenhexillion due to the exponent ascending to the sixth counting digit, similarly seen in quadrimilliquattuordecicentillion for the fifth.
