I don't think that Hyper-Moser notation is particularly notable.  It's just linear arrays with \(n^n\) as the base function. Deedlit11 (talk) 01:25, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

The notability of Googleaarex and his work is sort of a grey area. (The same goes for myself, but I can't really fight that battle without coming off as narcissistic.) FB100Ztalkcontribs 02:40, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

I think Tibor Radó should definitely make the list as it was basically his paper which drew attention to busy beaver numbers. (77.57.45.139 17:41, April 2, 2015 (UTC))

This article needs to be protected to avoid further vandalisms. Can somebody protect this page ASAP? ARsygo (talk) 12:19, July 14, 2020 (UTC)

Done. Username5243 (talk) 12:48, July 14, 2020 (UTC)
but I don't see the protection log yet. ARsygo (talk) 13:24, July 14, 2020 (UTC)

"The last 11 years"[]

The article refers to 2002-2013 as the last 11 years. That statement has not been changed since 2013, and 7 years have passed since then. A Hippopotatomus (talk) 18:11, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

André Joyce[]

As André Joyce is a fictional person, I feel like he should be removed from the list in this page. 🐟 Fish fish fish ... 🐠 16:54, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

I am not certain about the difference of a finctional person and a handle-name in this context. Isn't the name counted as a handle-name of the one who created the web pages referring to the name?

By reading this story, André Joyce is written as a fictional person who was born in 1910 and worked as a Professor, so I feel like he is rather like "Sherlock Holmes", a fictional person in a story, rather than a pseudonym of the author of the story. The numbers are written in the site of André Joyce Fan Club, which claims that the numbers were coined by André Joyce, and the author of the wesite is a "fan" of André Joyce (the author calls André Joyce "he", not "I"), and therefore the author of the website is different from the fictional person André Joyce, at least in the setting of the story of the website. 🐟 Fish fish fish ... 🐠 00:52, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
I am not saying that André Joyce's work should not be included in Googology Wiki. I just feel like it is not adequate to list him as a real person as if we are admitting the story in the "fan club" website is a real story. 🐟 Fish fish fish ... 🐠 01:03, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
I see. Then maybe it is also good to remove the corresponding article from Category:People, and move Category:Numbers by André Joyce from Category:Numbers by googologists to Category:Numbers in fiction.

Yes. I will do that if no one disagrees. Besides, I may edit the article of André Joyce more clearly to show that he is a fictional person of a story written by (possibly) Michael Joseph Halm, and not a pseudonym of Michael Joseph Halm. 🐟 Fish fish fish ... 🐠 05:24, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
I may also include a story that Alfred Jarry's picture was used for André Joyce's picture. I think that is when I realized that Andé Joyce is a fictious person. 🐟 Fish fish fish ... 🐠 06:12, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
